New Film Title- No More

Below show the different film titles we tried out for No More.

These two titles are the first titles that myself and Abbie put together. We liked the position of no more in the top image as it is off-centre. This connotes mystery as it suggests that something is slightly off or not right which is relatable to our film trailer. However, we agreed that the font and colour were not effective enough as they did not stand out.

In the bottom image we changed the colour of the word 'No' to red and left 'More' in white. We liked this as there is a clear contrast between the black background and the white and red writing which helps it stand out. Also the bold, sans serif front connotes seriousness and helps the writing stand out more. The font we used is called Franklin Gothic Heavy..

The image above shows our finished title. We liked this the best as it follows several conventions of thriller film titles. For example it is very similar in many ways to the Taken 2.

This image shows the Taken 2 film title. This is very similar to our title in many ways. One way in which it is similar is because they both use the same colours. The colours black and red are very intense colours and connote mystery which is why we decided to use them too. Another similarity is the writing. Both of the titles are in capital letters which makes them more dramatic and intense which helps them both to stand out. Also, the sans serif fonts connote a sense of seriousness which is relatable to both film trailers due to the story lines.
